Testing
The principal purpose of the hardness test is to determine and measure of the material’s resistance to localized plastic deformation (e.g. dent or scratch).
Materials tested usually include polymers and their composites but are not limited to them. For most of polymeric materials hardness according to Shore is applied.
Methods
CEITEC experts provide measurement of hardness according to Shore A for the soft polymers and Shore D for the hard ones. In case of other demands such as Vicat, Rockwell or Brinellscales other workplaces of CEITEC are involved.
