Milan Ešner heads the shared Cellular Imaging Laboratory (CELLIM) at CEITEC Masaryk University, which provides a wide range of services in the field of light microscopy and offers all expertise in this area, including sample preparation and image data analysis. The department has a wide range of state-of-the-art instruments – from stereomicroscopes, confocal microscopes, light sheet microscopes to super-resolution microscopes.
After obtaining his PhD at Mendel University in Brno, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Pasteur Institute in France, where he worked on the developmental biology of skeletal muscle in vertebrates. Subsequently, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics as an application specialist, where he was involved in the development of new methodologies for high-throughput screening.
